(Workshop) Strengthening Ties Between the GCMD Keywords and Their User Communities

This session involves an open and focused discussion (topics below) of the GCMD keywords and their use in the science community. The session will also include a short presentation giving an introduction to the keywords. The goal of this session is to strengthen the ties between the GCMD keywords and the communities that uses the keywords. Through the focused discussion, we seek to determine the strengths and weaknesses of the keywords, recommend changes to the keywords, and improve the governance process and accessibility of the keywords based on community feedback. The GCMD keywords are a community resource and the goal is to be as comprehensive as possible across the Earth science discipline.
