Exploring patterns in transforming complex data to answer complex questions

The Data Stewardship Committee is interested in understanding how ESIP members navigate the challenges of finding, collecting, cleaning, and harmonizing data for interoperable, comparable analysis that address complex science questions. This 90-min session will outline known “data integration” challenges and present several use case examples, with some evidence of solutions. The workshop will encourage participants to share and expand on these use cases with examples of their own challenges/solutions. Towards the end, we will workshop a set of interview questions that could capture some of the core features of the data integration process.
