As the second webinar in our series, “The Socioeconomic Value of Earth Science Data, Information, and Applications”, we explore the concepts behind the transference and usage of data and tools (information pathway) as they move between suppliers and end users, and how the demands of these two ends of this path can be leveraged to produce better tools and more useful information. Different approaches for understanding, analyzing, and streamlining this information pathway are presented, such as value chain analysis and decision trees. Our international panel represents both the private and public sector, and presents expertise in economics, policy, environmental and earth sciences, and information systems.
