Citizen Science School Garden and Community Arboretum: Putting Data in the Hands of Our Students

Our school has a beautiful arboretum that has been underutilized. The FUNding Friday grant has provided us with the opportunity to make the space informative & tied to learning by incorporating data collection tools; user friendly, by adding QR codes that are linked to a website filled with useful information; and more accessible, by adding a ramp and limestone path, so wheelchair bound persons can access the space. This project was funded as part of the FUNding Friday mini-grant competition held at the 2021 ESIP Summer Meeting. This project was also shared as part of the Research Showcase Poster & Demo Gallery held at the 2022 ESIP January Meeting.
