Within the Helmholtz Associationwe are striving to harmonize our data systems. PID Metadata are a convenient way, to harmonize metadata recorded, and support automation of metadata acquisition. This requires the assessment of PID systems, agreements on which PID systems should be used, and who is responsible for registration, maintenance, and publication of these PIDs. In this use-case we report on our experience implementing ORICD, ROR, and PIDInst, and how this affects responsibilities of different stakeholder groups.
