This presentation, prepared for the ESIP January 2022 meeting Research Showcase, describes an in-progress project to build a prototype digital twin for modelling atmospheric dispersion. The Digital Twin is based on an existing numerical modelling package, and the aim of the project is to explore the challenges and opportunities in building Digital Twins for the Weather & Climate domain, and how this can make our data and simulations more accessible for use by non-experts (in weather & climate).
