X3D and 3D Tiles for Oceanographic Data Visualization

<p>The Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute uses the X3D standard for "replay" visualization of upper water column observational data in the open source STOQS (www.stoqs.org) software. MBARI is now exploring using X3D and OGC 3D Tiles with the X3DOM open-source JavaScript library to visualize 100 sq. km cm-scale imagery and bathymetry in web browsers. This demo will show off some of the capabilities and of these open-source tools.</p>
