FIRMS uses multiple approaches to capture and embed user feedback into its continual evolution of capabilities and addition of new products. This feedback comes from users in operational agencies, NGOs, multiple NASA programs, the general public, and others. Through this process, FIRMS has implemented: a FIRMS US/Canada portal - to support the unique wildfire context within the US and Canada; revamped the Modes available, to meet users with varying technical capacities & themes of interest; included additional Modes based on thematic areas, & an Experimental Mode to allow users to interrogate new products; as well as implementing multiple 'on-the-fly tweaks' along the way to address unplanned user needs - such as parceling Canada into individual province KMLs, and refining the fire perimeter information available to support interagency users. This process enables FIRMS to remain agile, and to continually support, and respond to, the needs of an increasingly diverse set of users.
