Community resilience is increasing a community’s capacity to respond and adapt to life-changing events, by improving people's lives, building capacity, and helping recovery. In our ESIP session, we aimed to help support the Earth Science data community’s contribution to community resilience efforts by articulating problems as to how data and information are accessed, trusted, and made actionable for community resilience. These challenges include inequity, data ethics and governance, scale mismatch, and data addressing the needs of communities. At this poster, we are asking for feedback on these and other challenges facing community resilience and the solutions to address them. We invite others to contribute to this conversation so we may build connections within ESIP to address these challenges. This poster was presented at the 2021 Earth Science Information Partners (ESIP) Winter Meeting held virtually in January 2021.
