<p>This research investigates whether Strava data can supplement sparse Eco-Counter data to provide a more complete picture of ridership in Benton and Washington Counties. By comparing five years (2019–2023) of Strava and Eco-Counter data across a shared spatial framework, we evaluate agreement in temporal trends and absolute values, calibrate bias correction models, and assess where and when Strava may serve as a dependable proxy. The ultimate goal is to support planning decisions with scalable, cost-effective data sources that reflect the diverse populations using—and not yet using—these active transportation systems. </p>
