FUNding Friday: The 2022 Youth Climate Conference

Thanks to generous funding from ESIP, the students in the senior elective, Atmospheric Science, at Marymount School of New York, coordinated and facilitated the 2022 Youth Climate Conference. The Conference, held virtually on Saturday, 2.5.22, drew over one hundred students and teachers worldwide to explore the potential impact of climate change through engaging, inspiring, and thought-provoking conversations and workshops with climate researchers and data scientists. This poster reviews strategies and best practices for project management as we seek to respond to the challenge laid down by educator and author Alan November: Who owns the learning? The students do. This poster was presented at the 2022 July ESIP Meeting in Pittsburgh, PA.
