Evolution in the Use of the LTER Thesaurus in Metadata Creation

The LTER Thesaurus was introduced in 2011 in an attempt to improve data discovery of ecological data. This poster examines how use of terms drawn from the thesaurus as keywords in ecological metadata has changed. It compares keyword use in 2006 and 2018 and demonstrates that terms in the thesaurus have increased in utility for discovering data.
