This poster introduces the Earth Science Information Partners (ESIP) Biological Data Standards Cluster's "Biological Data Standards Primer Guide," which builds on the "Biological Data Standards Primer." The original Primer, shown in the upper right-hand corner, provides an overview of existing aspects of biological data standards and data access. The soon-to-be published Primer Guides delve deeper. The structure and content of the Primer Guide are shown in the left-hand side of the poster.

In its short 5-year period of existence, the Biological Data Standards Cluster has created these two useful products, which outline useful knowledge for any earth scientist or ecologist working with any biological data. Members of the Cluster have worked collaboratively and cooperatively to produce these two products, a process and methodology that is useful to share for others to follow. From the linear timeline, the creation of the two products can be seen, as well as how it fits into the larger collaborative workflow. This workflow is described in the lower center and is provided for others to follow a similar collective decision-making and collaborative process.
